Now, you might have been hoping for a quick answer. But instead, in keeping with the educational mission of the CHESS experiment, we've supplied you with the raw data, and you can analyze it yourself, and draw your own conclusions.

• prepare graphs of all experimental parameters versus time.
• Cosmic ray counts are usually displayed as a center point with error bars avove and below. The size of the error bars is determined by taking the square rootof the actual count rate. The error bars demonstrate the amount of uncertainty in a measurement. When error bars for 2 measurements overlap, you can't be cofident the two measurements are truly different, even if the two measurments themselves are different.
• Are any parts of the data set suspect ? Was each probe working ? Do the measurments make intuitive sense ?
• Can you multiply or divide each experimental parameter by a constant in order to display all the parameters on a similar scale, so that the variations in each parameter are visible? Do measurements follow standard atmospheric models ?
